AUTO SERVICES

Australia’s climate is extremely harsh on your vehicle’s paintwork. UV rays, salt residue, bird and bat droppings, tree sap, and other environmental contaminants constantly attack the surface, leading to fading, dullness, and oxidation in a short period of time.

Regular professional vehicle detailing and paint protection treatments help maintain your car’s finish—keeping it clean, glossy, and well-preserved for up to 10 to 15 years. Our expert polishing process safely removes fine surface scratches and oxidation, while also preventing the early onset of rust and corrosion. It’s an essential part of long-term vehicle care.

FAQ

Vehicle detailing is a thorough cleaning and restoration process that goes beyond a standard wash. It includes paint correction, polishing, waxing, interior cleaning, and protective treatments to restore and maintain your car’s showroom finish.

Paint protection helps shield your vehicle’s exterior from UV damage, bird droppings, tree sap, salt, and other harsh environmental contaminants. It preserves your paintwork, prevents oxidation, and helps maintain resale value.

For optimal results, we recommend professional vehicle detailing and polishing every 6 to 12 months. However, frequency can vary depending on how often the car is driven and where it’s parked.

Yes. Professional polishing can safely remove fine surface scratches, swirl marks, and oxidisation (paint fading), restoring the clarity and shine of your vehicle’s paintwork.

We offer a range of paint protection options including high-quality waxing, polishing, and sealants designed to protect your car’s surface from UV rays, contaminants, and everyday wear. These treatments help preserve the paint’s finish and extend its lifespan.

Cut and Polishing Definitions

Compounding refers to the use of a cutting compound or paste to remove fine scratches and imperfections left behind after wet sanding a freshly resprayed vehicle. It’s also commonly used to eliminate surface scratches, heavy hazing, and swirl marks—restoring clarity and depth to the paint finish.
Polishing is a broad term that refers to the various methods and techniques used to restore and enhance a vehicle’s paintwork, improving its clarity, depth, and shine.
Waxing is a relatively simple process that can be performed by the vehicle owner on a regular basis. After the car has been thoroughly washed and dried, a layer of wax is applied using a hand applicator or a machine polisher with a soft foam pad. Once the wax has dried, it should be gently removed with a clean microfibre cloth. For best results, it's recommended to clay bar the vehicle beforehand to ensure a smooth, contaminant-free surface.
Paint rejuvenation, restoration, and paint correction are essentially the same process. These terms refer to the treatment of oxidised, faded, or heavily scratched paintwork that requires two to three stages of compounding, polishing, and waxing to restore the surface to a near-new finish.
Cut and Polish is a two-step process used to remove surface scratches, light oxidation, and swirl or haze marks left behind from the compounding stage. First, the paintwork is machine-polished using a very fine cutting polish to safely eliminate imperfections. Then, a protective layer of wax is applied by hand or machine to enhance shine and preserve the finish.
Clay barring refers to the process of removing overspray, tar, salt scum, and other contaminants from your vehicle’s paint surface before compounding, polishing, or waxing. The product used is called “cleaner clay,” and in our experience, 3M offers the best performance for professional results.
Wet sanding is a process performed after a vehicle has been resprayed to remove “orange peel” texture or high spots on the surface of the fresh paint. This step helps achieve a smooth, even finish before polishing and refinishing.
